** A Discount can be given to a single person or couple staying in one bedroom only, at all times except July and August. 2 double bedrooms, 1 single/twin bedroom. The clever design of the villa ensures that all 3 bedrooms and the main living area have a gorgeous view of the sea. None of the bedrooms share an adjoining wall which adds to the peace and privacy of the individual guests at the villa. The privacy at the villa also extends to the many exterior terraces, the pool area and garden, all of which enjoy the stunning views. There is a natural and unspoilt rocky hillside on 2 sides of the villa that is covered in bushes and trees, and an abundance of wild flowers in The Spring. The land naturally drops off at the front of the villa and pool terrace, and on the west side of the property are just 2 villas that are only partially visible as they are set on separate hillside terraces. Dotted around the property are terracotta pots that have been planted with different types of palm tree, conifers, oleander, and cacti, and the rocky bank behind the pool is covered in wild flowers and daisies. The English owners have created a very attractive home with many modern comforts such as a fully fitted, very well equipped kitchen which includes: a ceramic hob, a built-in oven, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and a breakfast bar; fully tiled bathrooms, one of which houses the washing machine; a TV, a DVD player, and a portable CD player in the lounge; white aluminium doors, window frames and shutters; and air conditioning units in the bedrooms. The a/c units also double up as heaters for the cooler nights at the start and end of the season. The water is heated by either solar panel or a back-up immersion heater. A large of books and board games for both adults and children have been thoughtfully supplied. The furnishings in the villa are particularly pretty and romantic with a combination of natural pine and cream coloured French Provincial furniture, some of which has been delicately hand painted with floral motifs by skilled artists, wooden couches upholstered with delicate gold fabrics, and beautiful lighting which includes a gilt and glass chandelier in the lounge, and reading lamps in the bedrooms that are decorated with glass beads and mother of pearl. Many candles and bowls of potpourri are scattered around the villa, giving a wonderful aroma and completing the charming setting. Villa Ti Amo has been built to a traditional Greek design and includes a spacious covered terrace leading off from the lounge which is kitted out with a very large white wooden dining table, benches and chairs. There is a choice of either sun or shade on the many different outdoor terraces and balconies at Villa Ti Amo, all of which have an ample supply of outdoor furniture. The “infinity” pool terrace has sun-loungers and umbrellas, an outdoor shower and a BBQ. The breathtaking views from Villa Ti Amo help to make it the perfect place to relax and unwind at anytime of day. The sunsets are particularly dramatic, and at night you can sit and watch the twinkling stars in the clear sky, the lights from the Akrotiri Peninsula on the opposite side of the bay, or the ferries going to and from Athens. LocationThe main square in Plaka is only 700m from Villa Ti Amo and is still very much the focal point of village life. There are lovely shady mulberry trees under which the locals sit to watch the world go by whilst enjoying a delicious meal or even just an ice cold frappe. Plaka was one of the original village sets for the film “Zorba the Greek” and it still has quaint whitewashed houses and narrow streets leading off from the square. The modern outskirts of the village have expanded recently as have the facilities, which now include 3 excellent tavernas, 2 well stocked mini markets, a sweet shop, and 5 cafes - some of which offer free WIFI internet access. The lovely village of Almyrida is only 1.6km from Villa Ti Amo, and is built around a pretty crescent shaped sandy beach, with a small fishing harbour at the eastern end. The beach is very shallow and safe, which is good news if you have children or are not a strong swimmer. Lining the beach are 4 excellent tavernas, 9 café/bars - most of which have free WIFI internet service, 2 bakeries, a wonderful jewellery shop, 5 mini-markets, 3 gift shops, an off-license, a pharmacy, an organic fruit and vegetable shop, 2 cash machines, and Villas Crete Holidays for tourist information and guided tours. Also in Almyrida there is ascuba diving centre, and a water sports centre which rents out kayaks, windsurfers and catamarans. A few minutes by car from the villa, there are a huge variety of archaeological sites and traditional villages with wonderful tavernas. There is also an interesting selection of small craft centres and museums, including glass blowing in Kokkino Horio , lace makers in Gavalohori , and silk makers in Kalamitsi . For those of you looking for even more activity, the historic town of Chania is only 35 minutes away by car. Villa amenities
